Hello! Yes, unfortunately Checkout does not produce EU compliant invoices for one-time payments right now. It's a top ask of the product and something we're actively looking to fix
Thank you very much for the fast answer. So we would have to wait.
Right now your only real option is to use the invoicing product, whcih doesn't support Checkout
Yes I see, so we could use a webhook and trigger Stripe Invoice by REST API to create an invoice.
How does a webhook fit into the inbtegration?
You mean like after the Checkout Session?
Yes, after the checkout. Maybe we can extract all necessary data from it or convert the payment by API into an invoice and send it by email. We will have a look at it.
Sure, that's one option. Alternatively you just create an invoice and have your customers pay them via the Hosted Invoice Page: https://stripe.com/docs/invoicing/hosted-invoice-page
That's funny, I've been using Stripe Checkout in NL, and I have the same problem. Subscriptions have invoices, but I found out a bit too late that one-off payments do not. I am spending a couple of days already with our accountant to understand how to resolve this situation.
@wanton elbow Can you share your Stripe account ID?
@hollow jay do you have a stripe-based secure channel to share this sensitive data (#accountid)?
We don't (also, it's not really sensitive)
@wanton elbow I tried to DM you but was refused ... wont post it here.
