Hi 👋 using setup_future_usage = off_session and off_session = true for subsequent payments is pretty reliable, but it's not guaranteed to avoid 3DS.

It's ultimately up to the issuing bank whether they require 3DS to be completed. When you use setup_future_usage and then off_session, we request an exemption from SCA but it's up to the bank whether they honor that exemption request.

So you probably won't see it often, but should still build a flow to handle off_session payments that require 3DS/SCA.
