Express accounts are verified using 2FA codes, mostly sent as SMS messages to mobile phones
Great, that's what I thought. I have a user that somehow got off the rails and set up a new Stripe account as part of the process. Any idea how to unwind that?
I can see they have an acct_XYZ in our Connect dashboard, but sitting at Restricted
Hmmm. You can regenerate the Account link and have them walk through the onboarding process again. It will only ask questions for the information needed
But if they use the same email address will that cause issues? I know when I was testing connect onboarding it had issues if I used my email linked to an existing Stripe account
random idea: if we had this user download the Stripe Express app, could they auth with that using the email, then finish onboarding there? Or do we have to push them back through the normal stripe connect flow?
Actually I'm not sure about that last one. I haven't had a chance to test this out with the Stripe Express app and am unfamiliar with exactly how it handles the onboarding process.
