Isn't there just some tweaks to the above code that can purchase a specific product by ID, not just to deposit money?

Charges is the old API. We now recommend using payment intents. I'm not too familiar with the Wix guides though, so not sure the general path that is recommended there. Usually we recommend folks follow this guide to accept a payment: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/accept-a-payment?platform=web&ui=elements
