Gotcha. So when confirming the payment intent I believe you need to provide a return_url parameter in order to get the next action equal to redirect_to_url

Otherwise, it will expect you to continue the 3ds flow with stripe.js

Sorry, is the only way to simulate the same response in sandbox to explicitly force 3ds?

oh yes, it worked for the one I tested (3DS Required) I would assume it works just the same for 3DS2 in the way I also receive the same field?
