The app message also told me to go to Stripe-Contact for further assistance and it basically just give me some general "questions already answered" directions, but nothing for rejected payment cards for the past 24 hours.

Okie, normally you would want to reach out to the app, and they can reach out to us with more information from their end. From my experience, it looks more like an issue with your bank. You can try contacting the bank first, see if they could lift restrictions if any

... wait, I actually don't know how that even works. It doesn't mention anything with the bank blocking the card or anything, it's not subscription-based, it's just a payment each time that I use the app.

It's the bank issued your card in your wallet

Do you refer the the Wallet app in iPhone? Was it an iOS message?
