Hi there! Can you tell me more about these errors specifically? And do you have a request ID you can share for one of the errors that I can take a look at?
By tell me more I mean is there a specific error message they are seeing?
They just get a payment failed response from the api
Okay do you have a request ID? See: https://stripe.com/docs/api/request_ids
Got it. Can you look at https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/radar/rules and see if you have any block rules enabled?
Can you provide the PaymentIntent ID from the above payment that was blocked?
It shouldn't have been blocked due to the CVC rule
The PaymentIntent ID looks like pi_xxxxx
And should be in the top right of that Dashboard page when viewing the payment

Thanks, let me take a look
That's a bit frustrating as they are trying to do QA testing
Yes sorry. Trying to find our external list of restricted countries, but we can't support customers in Cuba.
is it the shipping address that needs changing or is Stripe tracing back the VPN
It is the VPN and IP I believe
weird, they changed their VPN to different locations and still were not able to make a test payment
Yeah I'm not sure the method we use, but as you can see in our ToS Cuba is among the prohibited regions: https://stripe.com/legal/restricted-businesses#:~:text=Use of Stripe's services for,and Luhansk Regions%2C is prohibited.
the VPN will be allocating a US based IP again
'''Using an offshore VPN can help you to hide your real identity. Every site you visit will see the IP of the VPN-Server instead of your real IP.''''
Sure... we have to have a way to counter this since else we would let through a lot of prohibited customers.
I don't know the specifics here. If you need more info, you can reach out to our Support team. I'm not sure there will be any workaround here other than not testing from Cuba.
Sorry about that 😦
no worries, will have to setupa. local machine in our office they user can remote desktop to for testing, but of a pain but only option left
