Thank you so much for your patience. I'm not seeing anything definitive on whether the session will change states when the URL expires. I am seeing it noted that the URLs can only be used once though, so if your basic integration is working then I think you'll be able to test this faster than I can find an answer.

I would suggest trying to create the verification session, and access it's URL (my testing seems to indicate this may need to be done in live mode, test mode seems to have a slightly different behavior due it being testmode). Then confirm that you can't access the URL again, and check the verification session to see if it updated at all.
