I was thinking that if thousands of users are adjusting fields in a single configuration, there could be collisions. Would that be the case?

Sorry, I don't think I fully understand. You're saying you're going to make a bunch of simultaneous updates to a single Portal Configuration? Why not use multiple Portal Configuration objects instead?

That makes sense. I could use multiple. Is there a limit to the number I can create? One per user, for instance?
