We're not super familiar with how Stripe tax fees are reflected on each transaction.
Let me see what I can find though but really your best bet would be to talk to our support team.

And we're trying - on our 4th attempt now, but it hasn't been going too well which is why I looked up a Discord. I will let you know if they answer our question this go-around.

As far as this goes,
We need confirmation to whether having automatic_tax disabled will hit us with a 0.5% fee or if we're only charged when that is enabled. It will make a big difference in our cost to use the platform for non-taxable products.
It shouldn't charge the fee with automatic_tax disabled. But again, I'd take support team's word against mine because there's a lot that goes into taxes that I'm not super familiar with personally
