I think that as long as your phone can connect to the reader, I think you should be able to control it from the app. Do you know if your phone can reach out to devices on its hotspot as if it were on the same network?

I don't know for sure right now. I'll need to look into that. I guess this questions matters heavily on the phone hosting everything

There is a 5" touch screen display on the BBPOS WisePOS E. Can I control what is being shown on the display?

special buttons now, but we support branding in beta I think. I'd recommend discussing this with our support team
