Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹
What do you mean by Stores? Are these Stripe Accounts?

Hi snufkin

#

Actually yes

#

Let me explain. We are our own company, and we set up conversion funnels for clients.

#

The idea is to open stripe accounts we can use for each of these clients, collect on their behalf for a certain time, adn then deliver the account ownership to them.

#

The business model we are trying to setup is one where we earn money only for an x time since starting, and then we leave all earnings to the clients.

#

Okay so you need to be able to hand-off account ownership at a certain time in the future after the initial spin up?

trim steppe
#

Exactly

#

So we were wondering if the best way to go around this, would be to create 1 stripe account per client, or to create sub accounts per client.

#

But i guess sub accounts cant be dettached later.

cursive fox
#

By sub-accounts do you mean connect accounts? We don't really have a concept of sub accounts per se.

trim steppe
#

Sorry, yes, i meant connect accounts

cursive fox
#

Hmm alright looking into this.

trim steppe
#

Thanks

#

I know its not the most usual setup

Let me quickly check

#

it seems to explain about regular accounts but not connect accounts, right?

cursive fox
#

Yeah, given your use case I would avoid connected accounts. You want the hand-off to be complete, correct?

trim steppe
#

Yeah, exactly

#

The only question i have if we choose to create 1 account per client

cursive fox
#

Yes in that case regular Stripe accounts are what you're going for.

trim steppe
#

Is if there any restriction regarding repeating bank information throughout several accounts.

cursive fox
#

How do you mean?

trim steppe
#

Lets say we have 4 clients, so we open 4 accounts, and all accounts have the same bank information, since they are all depositing money to the same bank account until we hand them off

#

is that a problem in any way?

cursive fox
#

I don't think so. Then, when you hand off, the client updates their external account info?

trim steppe
#

Yeah, when we hand them off i guess they just change their bank information and start collecting on a different account

cursive fox
#

I think you should be fine in that case. I'd still test it out but I don't see a reason this process wouldn't work.

trim steppe
#

Sounds good snufkin, thanks a lot for your assistance.

You're welcome ๐Ÿ‘‹
