What are you looking to log your users in to? The Stripe Dashboard or Express Dashboard?

#

And when you say team members, do you mean like this or are you talking about some other functionality? https://support.stripe.com/questions/invite-team-members-or-developers-to-access-your-stripe-account

Sorry yes I am talking about business customers (multiple businesses with their respective team members) seeing their express account dashboard

#

That page you referenced is not available on our generated stripe express account dashboards

Thank you for the clarificaiton, that first link I sent is irrelevant then. I was just unsure what you meant by "team members" as that is not a Connect term really.

So to clarify, anyone with that link can login or create an account?

#

We actually have this, but it only works correctly for the original creator

No, that is for accounts that you have already onboarded. To create Express accounts on your platform, you will want to follow this guide https://stripe.com/docs/connect/express-accounts

Express enables your platform to manage payout schedules, customize the flow of funds, and control branding. Stripe will handle onboarding, account management, and identity verification for your platform.

#

What do you have that is only working for the original creator?

#

We want anyone signed into our platform with correct access rights (on our side) to be able to sign into the same express account

#

Right now it seems options for saas members (1 business w multiple members) -> express account is 1-1 (or n-n) but we want an n-1

So to make sure I understand the situation: You have accounts on your side, these accounts may or may not have an Express account associated with them.

#

You want one of your accounts to be able to create or log in to an existing Express Account

#

And you want multiple of your accounts to be associated with the same Express Account

#

Does that all sound about correct?

Express accounts would be required for any monetization, we are B2B2C. But there could be several people who all need to see the same stripe express console with different stripe credentials.

#

The one I emojid is most accurate. But yes one person would create it but others could log in with different sign ins to the same express account. It’s not really optimal if we tell them the only way to see the same info is if the original account creator shares their user and password to their team members. Think of it the same as normal stripe where we can invite team members and control access but for express instead.

Okay, thank you for clarifying. Unfortunately I am not sure if this is possible. The multiple sign ins for one account may only be for Standard accounts, not Express ones.

#

I am checking in to if this is possible and how you might do it. The login link solution that I originally linked to would still require the original account creator's 2FA

#

Okay, might it be better if we use a standard account process? What are the downsides for a use case like ours?

smoky ridge
#

As far as I understand it now, your two options would be individual express accounts per person or using Standard instead if you have not already started onboarding real users with Express.

#

I am checking with my colleagues though.

Thanks so much. We are not in production, so this may be the best way to move forward. It just seemed to me express was more recommended by stripe and stripe has been known to deprecate services as they improve so I didn’t want us using something that could be outdated or neglected.

It looks like Express actually does have this functionality.

#

So far have you only tried this in Test mode? It looks like this functionality is not available for Express Accounts in Test mode at the moment but in Live mode users will be able to add team members in the Account section of their express dashboard.
