heya @little musk , it's totally possible to still require it with the starting of a trial period. It's up to you how you design your application. For example, you could request your customers to provide card details first, then create a subscription with a trial.

How would that work in practice? A setupIntent to save the card details on the customer?

yep, you would use SetupIntents to create the PaymentMethod and attach it to the customer.
