Hey! I'm not 100% certain, but my expectation is yes it will still function assuming the associated Payment Method object still exists

Got it. For Google Pay we were told that it will not be possible since Google Pay shares only a virtual account number with stripe. so if the associated card is deleted, the payment method in stripe wont work

Is there a way to know this for certain?

Yes certainly it is. It would have been great if we have these information in the documentation.

I presume Apple pay too does not share the actual card with stripe. am I right?

Well both Apple and Google Pay 'tokenise' the actual card data. They don't have the same data as the physical card

We don't impose anything different

says apple pay isn't supported.

That's the merchant country, and we don't currently operate in China

Stripe does not currently support Chinese based merchants, which is what this link is referencing: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/payment-method-available-countries#apple-pay

However if your customer is based in China, then Apple Pay should work based on the Apple document
