๐Ÿ‘‹ Give me a minute to catch up and I'll be right with you

#

What do you mean by "sum the total of the transactions"? I assume you'd calculate how much you want to transfer to the consultant, so that "summing" would happen on your end, and after that's calculated you'd make the transfer

Hi Karbi, thanks for assisting me on this

#

To make it easier, the process of transferring the payment to the consultant by the administrator won't change. My client just want Stripe Tax to somehow charge the consultant for the tax he/she owes to the government, maybe via email notification somehow?

#

Like, the consultant will make some money with the appointments, the client wants to ensure her platform is letting the consultant know, how much money he/she is owing to the Government.

so just to make sure I understand it correctly, you want to send an invoice of some kind to the consultant for the tax amount after the transfer has taken place is that correct?

I have no experience with Stripe or Stripe tax, so I don't know how it works. So, I'm not sure if the goal is to send an invoice to pay the tax or just a notification informing the amount of tax the consultant needs to pay. And I'm not sure if the frequency will be after every transfer has taken place, but assuming that, is that possible? Can you tell me which of these options are possible and how to make them work?

hello?

Yup still here ๐Ÿ™‚
Juggling between a few threads at the moment.

Let's take a step back
Can you summarize in a few sentences, what problem are you trying to solve here?

@somber canyon sorry what you stated was unclear, can you rephrase?
Like what have you integrated and where are you blocked exactly? I can't extrapolate what you're looking for

sure but can you give way more detail?

#

you're the developer building an integration right?

#

so how far have you integrated, what have you tried and where are you blocked?

somber canyon
#

I'm a developer, but I'm not building an integration at this moment. I just wanted to know how Stripe developers usually solve this kind of problem so I know as well and can build a plan of action for this project.

#

To clarify a bit more: I have a client that has a site/platform where users can book an appointment with a consultant. The user will pay using Stripe, the amount will be manually transfer the amount by the platform administrator to the consultant after approval.

#

I understand, but I haven't understood the problem so far.

To detail more, Stripe Tax is just a product to integrate tax into other payment products like Checkout or PaymentLinks or Invoices or Subscriptions etc

#

The user will pay using Stripe, the amount will be manually transfer the amount by the platform administrator to the consultant after approval.
so integrating Tax depends on how you're doing payments. So far it sounds like you want to use Invoices?

Could Stripe Tax send to the consultants an invoice charging the taxes?

gloomy patrol
#

to clarify, you send an Invoice to consultants and integrate with Stripe Tax to also charge tax on the amount due on the Invoice
