Hello 👋
Looking
So payouts that happen daily with 2 day rolling means the stuff paid out on Wednesday, is from the charges from Monday settling after 2 days
So Thursday Payout will have charges from Tuesday settling and paying out.
I am confused about "charges". We make transfers from our Stripe platform account to our customers custom Stripe connected accounts,. Once the transfer is made within Stripe between these accounts, is this impacted by the "2 day rolling basis"?
Sorry for the wait - catching up now.
A "2 day rolling basis" means that when a charge is successful, those funds are paid out 2 days from that point.
It sounds like it isn't relevant in our case, since transfers between our Platform account and our customers' custom connected accounts aren't "charges". Right?
... or is that considered a "charge"?
@fast ridge you could issue a manual payout after the transfer - transfers are synchronous; they either succeed or they don't.
(NOT with Stripe) the automatic payouts are on the mentioned schedules
It's not 2 days from the time of the transfer - what we're basically saying is that it takes 2 days for the funds to transition from pending -> available, and once they're available is when they can be paid out
So if you're transferring funds that are already available, those funds would be included in the next daily payout for the connected account
If you're transferring funds that are still pending (like with source_transaction) then you'd have to wait 2 days from when the original charge from source_transaction was successful and THEN the funds would be paid out
OK. Thanks.
