I don't believe that's something you can update through the API, but let me see what other options there are

When you were attempting to update the name through the dashboard (by going through "View Dashboard as...") were you logged in as an account administrator? Or in some other role?
I am an administrator on the parent/root account, the parent/root account owner also tried and received the same error
That's strange - I'm able to change it on my end. Do you have an example account ID that you weren't able to update?
Sure, the parent account is acct_1F7R78GEQF578w78 and the connected account that is giving issues is acct_1IVGbU4YrbdTczA2
it is an Express account, I don't know if that has additional restrictions
Ah, I finally see the issue - I was able to do this with an express account on my end since they hadn't finished the onboarding process. I can reproduce the same error when I try with a fully onboarded account
Yeah, I'm not seeing a way for you (as the platform) to update this for an express account that's finished onboarding, but the Express account user should be able to update it themselves in the express dashboard
