I was trying to enable Apple Pay to my store. While going through the stripe-applepay-certsigningrequest process, I closed out of the window and lost access.
While trying to open the file to initiate the process again, I am seeing a ‘An Error Ocurred’ stating ‘The file you specified could not be opened by the assistant’

While 'turning on' 'apple pay'
I was prompted to 'Certify Authority'
Apple Pay looks to be turned on but the physical 'Apple Pay' isnt showing in the checkout browser

Are you just trying to do Apple Pay in the browser? Not writing your own iOS application as a developer?

it could be many different things, including you not having Apple Pay working on your computer
https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button what do you see at the top of this page, can you take a screenshot? It'll tell me if Apple Pay works on your computer

Chrome is working on Apple Pay support I think but ultimately it's easier to use the one you're really aiming for
And always go back to that page I mentioned, right at the top it shows you the real button
