Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how to deal with backordered items that may be backordered for over a week when the authorization only lasts for 7 days.

Max is 7 days for an authorization. You wold have to re-authorize the card.

To use paypal as an example, the authorization lasts 29 days, but you need to reauthorize after 3 with the same auth token

Ohh got it, so no way to do it without saving card/payment details and reauthorizing?
