I thought that was a bad idea, but I will do it. And just keep them all in testmode. Some of the payment providers seem to deny me access since it looks like a fake account.

Does it go through the 3rd party validation if it is only a test account (inactive Stripe account)

I think that is what is happening. Even though it is a test/inactive account, the payment processor is wanting more info on the company. But it is not a real company, it is just for testing the alternative payment.

So i have a limited time. Spin up an account with the needed requirements, test it while it is still in the onboarding time and then get denied by the payment processor and spin up another account in the future if needed? That seems odd but I will do it if that is the way to go!

Or does onboarding mean just any inactive account and it stays "onboarding" until I add a bank account and verify tax info.

When you create a new Stripe account in testmode, how long is it considered to be in the onboarding period? Forever?

You'd only need to onboard these test accounts one time per country then re-use later
