We use stripe for ACH. Not entirely sure what Plaid is being used for exactly.

I know Plaid has automated microdeposit flows, but I'm wondering if we can just avoid microdeposits entirely

It's confusing our customers quite a bit -- particularly the delay on the payments and having to go back to our portal to verify.

Plaid is a way to verify bank accounts without using microdeposits. It's documented here: https://stripe.com/docs/ach#using-plaid

So you're not using Plaid now but it sounds like you may want to start?

To clarify, Plaid does not use microdeposits at all.

Not sure I understand, Plaid is used only for the verification piece when it comes to Stripe. Can you provide more specific details?

We may not be using Plaid w/ Stripe. I will need to double check.

We do use Plaid, but mainly for proof of funds as they report balances.

Also, Plaid doesn't support all banks

I'm not entirely sure. I inherited this code. But it's definitely not auto-verifying.

Ah, okay, so you're not using Plaid with Stripe to verify bank accounts. If you want to avoid microdeposits you should use the Plaid integration I linked to above.

Thanks. So there's no other way to just do e-Check?

Somehow a plaid link is being setup for the same accounts we have in stripe; but it doesn't do auto verification. We'll implement that when we redo the portal.

I'm just hoping to get a solution for banks plaid doesn't support.
