It depends on what timing the customer closes the tab/site. You mention the case they closed without fulfilling the payment? That means they haven't paid and you should not giving the booking slot to them, I think 🤔

Yes exactly, if they don´t fulfill the payment. We create a booking "in behind" so the customer will not get an email from us with booking details. But the booking will be left in the database without us handling it and I wonder how we should handle that case. Maybe set different status on the bookings and then remove the leftover bookings in a background job ? or do you have any other suggestion?

Yeah it sounds reasonable to have a cron job to remove the leftover bookings, if you decides to keep those booking for them for a while... But that's really up to you and your system, since from Stripe point of view we only know that they haven't paid
