I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Can you explain a bit more or show an example?

When creating a link to the billing portal it takes you to the page in the below screenshot. I noticed that if you click the "update plan" button it appends /subscriptions/sub_12345/update. I'm wondering if I can safely append that and send users directly to the "update plan" page skipping the page in the screenshot.

So, this works, yes, but its not a guaranteed contract/API, so is subject to us changing the billing portal without notice

The failure mode (if you append an invalid path) is a 404-like page with a link back to the root of the portal session
