you should be able to configure it on https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic (the 'Retry schedule' section).
i have that setup to retry after 3 days but ive had an invoice retry 6 times in the last 2 days
I'd suggest writing to our support team with the example invoice so they can help you look into it then!
