@junior ravine it can not unfortunately. Today it only lets you control existing subscriptions. You'll want to use Checkout for this instead

But if I have to build my own checkout process, then what is the point of even using portal? I thought the point was to hand off the dev responsibilities to you guys for this stuff?

there is no way to unify it. I hear you, we just don't support it. Before we built those you had to build everything, we had to start somewhere

you do need some logic to know whether the customer has a subscription or not, which I agree it'd be great if you didn't have to

but otherwise you can let us fully handle both

i have currently built my own, but I'm updating the app and don't want to update it, rather just let you guys deal with it
