Onboarding is ~a required process really with Connect based payments. You can procedurally onboard users but I don't recall how much info is required but these are "know your customer" requirements and this info has to be collected really if you're creating a Direct Charge on a connected accounts
Is this the case with Destination Charges?
because I'll be honest, it's a huge blow, if someone just wants to quickly sell a ticket, having them enter their 'business details', 'payment descriptor' and such is just very confusing. It would be better if they had money waiting for them at the end
Is this the case with Destination Charges?
recommend taking a step back to review which fund flow and which account type would be better for you, I can't say if Direct or Destination is the right flow for you, or which onboarding experience is right: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/accounts#choosing-approach
Thanks! What I really want to know though, is can I create destination charges when the connected account hasn't completed onboarding?
destination charges when the connected account hasn't completed onboarding?
I don't know, you can try it but really, I wouldn't recommend doing that, like I said, there's lots of factors that go into onboarding and payments, I recommend going back to that link and trying out the diff acct types and fund flows, there are HUGE differences in each
