Hello 👋
It does sound like something Connect can help with alongside Separate charges + Transfers. I'm not sure what the conversion rate and/or transaction cost looks like on those.
Give me a moment to look into it further
thx so much, the problem that I had was like follow
in test mode I tried to charge 1 AUD from "end client" and transfer 1 CNY to a "supplier" and this is what I got
so I wonder if there is a way to hack around that ensure we can give at least roughly 1 yuan to supplier
the request id is "req_wXX8QB6RdPhhPf"
for user name 'merchi.co' if that helps
Oh I see.
So with SC&T, it depends on what the balance on the platform is accumulated in. If the Platform settles in USD, it can only transfer out USD.
similarly, if acct_2 settles in CNY, then you can transfer them a USD amount and then it is converted so when they are paid out, they’re paid out the CNY equivalent of what they were transferred in USD.
Unfortunately, there is not way to transfer and convert on the fly.
got you, this what I feel as well, just hoped if there is magic way to achieve that.
can we make a charge to a user with only account id?
so do not use separate transfer, but use a independent charge with user's account id
the point is we want charge seller for supplier but we do not want seller to input their credit card in our system, as we already have their connect account
srry for my poor english
I'm not sure what you mean by the above. could you give me an example how this would work between the accounts as well as what funds are moving between them?
srry for my poor english
All good. 🙂
ok Seller A is our connected account user, supplier B is our connected account user, we help A charge 1 USD with his client(end user who provide credit card) by credit card. after A receive 1 USD, we create an independent 1 CNY charge to A with its connect account id and transfer to B
so the question is can we transfer 1 CNY from connect account A to connect account B without ask A input its credit card, as A should input its bank information
Apologies for the delay
So to summarize, you want to charge Connect account A (as a Customer) and transfer those funds to Connect account B
You can either do Account Debits but those are a bit limited regulatory wise (where they are supported)
or the alternative, collect card details from A and create a Customer obj representing them
