I squared the customer card on the strip and got a token Can I see the card balance through this token

no, you won't be able to see the card balance on a Customer's card

So how do I know if there is enough money on the card at the time of payment?

you wouldn't know upfront, if the card doesn't have enough funds the payment would be declined
