I see. Is there any alternatives you suggest with Stripe? I am just paying out users rewards occasionally, not paying out merchants, so it seems like overkill for this

There's no alternatives I'm afraid! If not Connect, you'd need to manage distributing those funds externally elsewhere

what about using the deprecated transfers api? It seems like this was possible previously or am i mistaken
