Strange because I got an email from invoice+statements+acct_***@stripe.com when I paid for another service. So I thought this could be somehow possible that I just missed somewhere in the documentation.

The invoice is downloadable as a PDF from the invoice page, and if you want to do something with it there is a PDF link in the invoice object:
https://stripe.com/docs/api/invoices/object#invoice_object-invoice_pdf

There is no PDF created for receipts.
