I found one but it required a whole custom build of their plugin, which makes me think that its maybe easier doing it ourselves

generally Connect requires building a bespoke integration yes, if you have questions about building that we can try to help. There are some existing plugins that support certain Connect use cases (search for things like "Stripe marketplace plugin") but Connect is the kind of thing where how you use it is very custom to your own business needs.
