Typically you can store additional information on Objects using Metadata but we highly recommend that you don't store any information that's sensitive (especially with compliance requirements)
Yes, I definitely wouldn't want to store that kind of thing in Metadata. I noticed that you have a BankAccount object, and I was wondering if it was possible to store those against customers without actually using them for payment.
(Or is the whole idea of that, we shouldn't be able to access that kind of data. We give it to stripe to give our customers comfort that we couldn't access it even if we tried to?)
๐ Just hopping in for a quick second before @fervent wraith takes over - from a conceptual standpoint I can see why you'd want to do this, but I'd still recommend against it without first talking to someone at support (https://support.stripe.com/contact) to make sure this is okay. It's possible there may be some terms of service/compliance implications that you may need to think about before going forward twith this
Find help and support for Stripe. Our support center provides answers on all types of situations, including account information, charges and refunds, and subscriptions information. Get your questions answered and find international support for Stripe.
Good point @oblique prawn
Thanks both. Just for clarification, do you mean to check this doesn't go against stripe's terms of service.
I think @oblique prawn was suggesting you should contact support to verify this does not violate Stripe's terms of service. This channel is really focused on developer/integration questions so we are not as well equipped to answer those types of questions.
