Hi there, I'm not familiar with this language, can you send me the URL of this page?
Hi. Sure, here the URL https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/portal
I would like to have this button displayed. 🙂
Can you tell me the English translation of this button so that I can locate it in my own settings page/
Abo kündigen = cancel plan
This is what I found in my Dashboard settings, is this the settings that you want to switch off?
Yes, this is the right place. The option "Allow customers to cancel subscriptions" is switched on. But the button is not activated. That is the problem.
Which button do you refer to?
And can you double check the subscription and settings are in the same mode (either live or test mode) ?
Yes, both in live mode. My settings are the same. And in the preview I also see the cancel buttons.
Can you send me the subscription ID?
for example this one: sub_1KL1TVHOyZ0rDvCT9A7FETum
Hi @fleet juniper my shift is over and my colleague will join this thread soon to continue supporting you.
Thank you!
Hi! Please give me a few minutes to look into this.
I can confirm that the "cancel subscription" setting is correctly set on your account, but indeed the "cancel" button is not displayed on the page. That's odd... I need more time to investigate, sorry for the delay.
I think I understand now.
The subscription you shared was created with a Subscription Schedule. And unfortunately Subscription Schedule cannot be updated or cancelled in the customer portal.
Ok. Are there any other restrictions here? For example, does the customer get an automatic mail when his credit card expires?
There are no other restrictions that I'm aware of. So yes Stripe can send an email if the card expired, depending on your settings https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/overview#settings
