Or do you mean that it got into the system via the Stripe widget, but was never attached to a customer?
Sorry, I don't understand the question. This Payment Method was created but not used for anything, then it was updated (so it would have current details when it does it get used).
How would it get used when its not attached to a customer?
Payment Methods can be used for a single payment without being attached to a Customer, or they can be attached to a Customer to be used multiple times.
When this was updated you still had the option to do either of those things, attach it to a Customer or make a single payment.
Is there any way to prune un-attached payment methods?
Not really. Why would you want to?
Because we don't know what customer it goes to.
It may not belong to any Customer. A Payment Method can be created with your publishable key, which is public, so there are going to be ones hanging out that never belong to anyone.
