Hi what are you trying to do ultimately with Customer Portal? The Portal is for managing a customer's payment info as well as their subscriptions and invoices.

Does the customer have an active subscription to one of those products?

Yea. Maybe I'm just misreading the docs/not understanding how the pieces fit together. I have Products that I want users to be able to purchase via the Portal. But if the portal is strictly for updating existing subs, I'm in the wrong place =\

No. I was under the impression that a subscription could be initiated from the Customer Portal.

Nah portal is just for managing them

#

If you want to create new subscriptions and charge the users I would look into Stripe Checkout: https://stripe.com/payments/checkout

With that flow you could use Checkout to initiate them and then Customer Portal to manage them
