Great, so the detach method is the equivalent to delete?

A follow-up question—will this prevent re-entering the same card at a later date?

Yep, detach is very similar to delete. Detaching will not prevent the same card from being used at a later date. You would need to implement that logic on your end using the fingerprint in the API or using Radar blocklists.
