So we do like 90% of our transactions right now via invoices which can actually get paid up to like 45d later.
That ratio will go down over time, but it will always remain a large % of our business model.
From what I saw in the docs you can instantly assign those funds in a (normal?) transaction to the driver for completing it, but I can't have drivers not getting paid for 45d either.
like everyone else on the planet apparently we're using 1099 drivers, so think doordash with invoices I suppose.

So you could always make the transfer to the driver ahead of time (as long as you have the funds to do that), but you can't tie it to a specific invoice if it hasn't been paid yet

Cool, I'd imagine this is accomplished via a manual payout say on a cron task?

Yes that's correct
