Pausing a subscription shouldn't have any bearing on the cancellation date

When a subscription is paused the invoices are still generated at a normal rate but the behavior is what changes (transitioning to void, keeping as a draft, marking as uncollectible) so it shouldn't mess with cancellation

OK is there a way to extend the subscription end date by the amount of time paused?

You'd have to calculate the timespan yourself and update the cancellation date through another API request - there isn't anything automatic on our end that would do this for you
