@hazy nebula You control which URL customers are sent to directly in your account's settings https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic click on the eye icon next to "Send emails when card payments fail" to control this

And then your code would collect card details or yes you can use the Customer Portal API to have them update their card details for the next attempt

D'oh - completely missed that when i opened the Eye symbol 🙂 So, since this is just a URL, I'm guessing there's no way to pass the customer ID to this link?

I think I can probably just direct them to their donation management page on our site, and if they aren't logged in, they'll be asked to. probably good enough for now if the link is generic-only

correct, we don't have a way to identify them today so we rely on you handling this and having an existing session/cookie with them or having the log in!
