As far as I can see, that PaymentIntent was created for manual capture and confirmed but the capture call still has not been made

So it looks like expected behavior that the funds are held but not captured.

so it looks like it could be my own api thats failing when capturing the payment.

Correct. At least on that one I am not seeing a capture call from your side. Can you see if your code tried to make that call?

looks like the calls are being made but never reaching stripe, must be an issue with our server, i'll reboot it and keep my fingers crossed, i did do some orfders in test most and they were captured
