it appears for me in a known-good browser, so it's probably just something about how you test this, it will work fine for regular customers I would think

make sure you actually have Apple Pay cards in your wallet on the iPhone

Aah... I think that might be it -- the test device I'm on may not have an Apple Pay card associated with it.
