Hi @gleaming barn! Good question, I'm having a look.

I just did a test, and unfortunately the metadata on the subscription schedule is not passed to the subscription.
So you'll need to do that manually, for example by listening to the webhook event customer.subscription.created or subscription_schedule.created and update the subscription with your metadata.
