We typically reccommend testing with test keys. That switch at the top actually doesn't change anything about the account, it just changes the view you are currently looking at in your browser

I may have been a bit unclear here. When you say "flip the whole account to test mode" are you talking about flipping this switch?

Yes, that's the switch I was talking about. So that just changes the way but the account stays active?

Exactly, just changes what data you are looking at in your browser. Everything on the account stays as is
