I think it follows the same update behavior as other subscription updates. If you specify the billing cycle anchor to now it will become now, otherwise it is unchanged.
I am not immediately sure on the proration aspect and don't have a great way to test at the moment. Do you have any test mode subscriptions you might be able to test this out on?
@gaunt rivet Yup! My issue with testing this type of stuff is not being able to update the billing cycle to be in the next couple of hours, I'll need to set it up to test it tomorrow. One important detail I forgot to mention is we are using the customer portal for the pausing. I'm unsure if i'll be able to manipulate the billing cycle anchor in this case.
Oh I see, so some of the question is also if this change from the customer portal specifically will change the billing cycle anchor
