yeah might be worth asking them that, also asking which exact version worked before to try and narrow it down

ah so that's why

1.13.1 is almost 7 years old

#

we have not support PHP 5.4 since early 2015

#

you will have to upgrade to at least PHP 5.6, but even that has been out of support for years

Woof. Love that my client thought this would be an easy conversion to the new checkout. I knew the version they had was old, but wasn't expecting that.
