@void dirge you can disable the text I think via this option: https://stripe.com/docs/js/elements_object/create_payment_element#payment_element_create-options-terms but that means you have to show your own and be careful about strict rules and regulations around this (you might want to chat with support)
Okay, so the only option for customizing is disabling. We'll definitely get any updated wording vetted.
However, disabling the terms still displays this wording: "Another step will appear after submitting your order"
I haven't played much with that UI yet sorry. What happens after, what do you see?
Sure but what happens after that?
Oh, it pops up the modal for attaching the bank account. That part works fine. It's just the wording of "order" that is an issue, since the vast majority of payments that we process are not orders—they're donations.
Ah I see
The modal also needs some customization, but we're already talking to our account manager about that
yeah we don't have an option to disable this today unfortunately since we want to make it clear there's a next step after that submit but I agree it'd be helpful
I'll flag internally but going through your account manager will help too
Okay, thanks. I'll bring that up with them as well
One other Payment Element question that's unrelated: from my reading of the docs, it seems that all we need to do to enable Apple/Google Pay is to have them added in our Stripe account and then include the card option in the Payment Element. However, when visiting our testing site on an iOS device with a wallet card set up, I don't see the Apple Pay option. Is there another step required beyond enabling them in settings and including the card option?
you need to do domain registration for Apple Pay https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button?html-or-react=html#verifying-your-domain-with-apple-pay
