hello! this is a developer community to help with API questions

your issue looks to be with Wordpress though, so I recommend talking to your plugin's support. Really, Stripe is doing the right thing i.e. creating a Subscription, something in the Wordpress plugin code is off if it isn't representing the real status of the Subscription
