the transfer.created event occurred... but never the transfer.paid

and maybe it is not documented correctly ... I was expecting the transfer.paid event to be called when the money for the transfer actually moved into the connected account

so transfer.created does create and immediately send the transfer to the Connect account.

transfer.paid doesn't do what you would think it does, that is a legacy event basically not applicable to what we now call a "Transfer" object.

back in the day, a Payout was actually a Transfer (back in 2017)

so transfer.paid was basically "payout.paid"

so really you don't have to do anything with transfer.paid, you just use transfer.created https://stripe.com/docs/transfer-payout-split
