Hi @short tendon, the two approaches are very similar.
The application fee amount lends itself to an easier reporting experience, but the flow of funds can look a bit more complicated. This doc helps walk through the (few) differences a bit more thoroughly.

hm. im aware of the differences. First one transfers the entire amount to connected acc and then transfers the fee to platform account. Second approach deducts fee then transfers the amount to connectd account

How do we achieve partial refund of app fee by setting from application,
i'm aware that we can use applicationFeeRefundService .
